LISOM Portal Rules of Engagement

To our website visitors, portal users, inquirers, Applicants, Candidates, Students, Alumni, Faculty, and Staff, hereafter referred to as ‘you’:

By browsing the pages of this portal or using any of our services, you therewith agree not to engage in the conducts described below (or to facilitate or support others in doing so):

You may not use our social media platforms to do or share anything:

  • That violates our organization standards, and other terms and policies that apply to the general use of social media. (Facebook and WhatsApp)
  • That is unlawful, libelous, profane, misleading, discriminatory, or fraudulent.
  • That infringes or violates someone else’s rights, including their intellectual property rights.
  • That is a link which contains any kind of virus, spyware, or malware.
  • That contains threat or suggest violence or illegal behaviour.
  • That solicit, promote or endorse any financial, political, or governmental organization.
  • You may not upload viruses or malicious code or do anything that could disable, overburden, or impair the proper working or appearance of our portal.

LISOM reserves the right to:

  • Moderate content by removing any posts or uploads that violates rules.
  • Remove information or language that violate the guidelines.

Academic Rules

  1. Students must relate respectfully to the lecturers at all times.
  2. Students unable to e-attend a class should endeavor to be properly excused by the authorized official and make sure they listen diligently to the lectures and ensure they are up to date with their classes.
  3. Students must not interrupt the e-classes, but must wait till they are asked to ask questions.
  4. All LISOM courses are compulsory and should be treated with utmost importance.
  5. Certificates of graduation from LISOM is not an ordination or employment from or with LISOM.
  6. All lectures shared on the e-classes are not permitted to be reshared or transmitted in any form without the express permission of LISOM and the lecturer involved.

Social Rules

  1. Students must uphold the LISOM corporate goals of training credible ministers of the gospel.
  2. Students must not engage in any private, corporate, or secret solicitation of funds, favors, or grants from either staffs or students of LISOM.
  3. Students must not use LISOM’s corporate identity, personal identity of staff or student, credibility, or goodwill to redirect the public for any personal concern except with the express writteb approval from the LISOM Registrar.
  4. Students are not permitted to raise monies for anyhting without the express approval from LISOM President.
  5. Students are encouraged to synergize and build godly friendships and relationships within the borders of Christian ethics and morals.

Practical Ministry

All LISOM Students must:

  1. Participate in submitting well prepared sermonettes.
  2. Be actively involved in a local church where they serve in humility.
